The White Star Tavern is located on Southampton’s cosmopolitan Oxford Street, in the city’s historic maritime district. The building was completely renovated in 2007 and mixes original features with modern comforts and style.

Rooms have laptop safes, king-size beds with luxury Egyptian cotton bed linen and minibars stocked with your favourite drinks and snacks. The flat-screen TVs have Freeview digital channels. The modern bathrooms have large showers.

The White Star has received 2 AA Rosettes for the quality of its great-value food. Dishes are made using fresh local produce. The bar serves wines, award-winning ales and cocktails.

Hotel information

This award-winning Southampton bar and restaurant launched its stylish new look in autumn 2007. The launch followed an extensive 3-month refurbishment programme that has transformed the former seafarers’ hotel into the height of boutique accommodation.

Facilities include a fully equipped private meeting room for up to 16 people, a dedicated lounge and reception, and a trendy urban roof garden.

Breakfast is served from 07:00 until 09:30 (Monday to Friday), and from 09:00 until 12:00 (weekends).
